The automotive lamp system can be divided into: external lighting devices, interior lighting devices, and automotive light signal devices, depending on the installation location and purpose. mainly include:

(1) Headlamps, commonly known as headlamps, are mounted on both sides of the car's head to illuminate the road in front of the car. There are two light systems and four light systems.

(2) Fog lights are used to improve road lighting conditions in the presence of fog, snow, heavy rain, or dust. One or two per vehicle, the installation position is slightly lower than the headlight, generally about 50cm from the ground, the light is highly inclined, the light color is yellow or orange (yellow light wave is longer, good fog performance).

(3) The width lamp (commonly known as the front small lamp) is mounted on the edges of both sides of the front of the car and indicates the width of the car when the car is traveling at night.

(4) Turn Signal Light When the car turns, a bright and dark alternating flash signal is issued to indicate that the car turns to the left or right. It has the front, rear, and side turn signals. Generally orange. The front turn signal indicator and the width indicator lamp are usually made into two-wire light bulbs, in which one filament (20W) with a larger power is used for the turn signal and a filament (8W) with a smaller power is used for the wide display. Rear turn signal lights and tail lights are often made of twin wire bulbs.

(5) The taillights are mounted on the rear of the car and used at night to alert the vehicle behind to maintain a certain distance.

(6) The brake light emits a strong red light to indicate braking whenever the brake pedal is depressed.

(7) The reversing lights are used to illuminate the road behind the car and warn vehicles and pedestrians behind the car that the car is reversing. At present, the taillights, rear turn signals, brake lights, and reversing lights in the rear of a car are often referred to as a combination rear light. Headlamps, fog lamps, or front turn signal lights are called combination headlights.

(8) The license plate light is used to illuminate the license plate.

(9) Parking lights are used to mark the presence of cars when they are parked at night.

(10) The instrument light is mounted on the instrument panel to illuminate the instrument.

(11) The ceiling light is mounted on the top of the compartment or cab as an interior lighting.

(12) Other auxiliary lights In order to facilitate night maintenance, work lights are provided, which are connected to the power supply via sockets. Some of them also have a hood downlight under the hood, and their function is the same as that of a work light. In lighting equipment, headlamps have a special optical structure, while other lamps are not strictly required in terms of optics.
